About
Jars of Hope is the latest endeavor of The Family Center with a two fold purpose. First, to serve food to those in need living in Lancaster County through the food pantry. Second, it serves as a local thrift shop with the proceeds supporting The Family Center. A win-win for everybody.

Volunteer
There are many opportunities to serve at Jars of Hope. From sorting donations to stocking shelves, we need your help. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, call Heather at (717) 442-2736.

Donations
Donations can be made at any time during store hours, however; if you are unable to make it during store hours, or have more than 30 pieces or large pieces of furniture, please call the store to set up an appointment. Scheduling will ensure there is a person on site to receive your donations. All items must be washed and in good condition i.e. free of stains, holes, and tears. We will take any and all brands and sizes.

Acceptable Items

• Clothing & accessories (belts, jewelry, scarves, purses, wallets, brooches)
• Shoes
• Linens (blankets, sheets, towels, curtains, rugs, curtains, fabric and fabric scraps)
• House wares (glassware, silverware, pots, pans, baskets, tins)
• Books (no text books or encyclopedias)
• Small appliances (clean & in working condition)
• Toys, games, and puzzles, gently used stuffed animals (with all parts and pieces, including batteries.)
• Small mechanical items
• Audio and Video
• Pictures
• Sewing supplies
• Holiday décor
• Notions
• Craft items
• Antiques
• Vintage collectibles
• Furniture ( tables, chairs, cabinets, shelving units, sofa’s)
• Some Sports Equipment (call for details)

• Infant seats
• Pack and plays
