Hildebrandt Learning Centers (HLC) is a leader in developing and operating employer-related child care centers in Pennsylvania. The company began operations in 1991 with its first center at Lancaster Laboratories, a company regularly featured as a “Working Mother” top 100 companies for working women. Presently, HLC operates 35 employer-sponsored child care centers and 2 adult day care centers, and is a pioneer in the “intergenerational concept” of caring for both young and elderly in the same setting.

In addition to being a leading operator of on-site, employer-related centers, HLC is committed as an organization to provide children and their families with the finest in early childhood education programs. This commitment is evident by our efforts to achieve National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation for our centers. Presently, twenty-four (24) HLC centers are accredited with a number of centers awaiting their accreditation review. Accreditation by NAEYC denotes a program demonstrating a commitment to providing high quality care, far exceeding state licensing standards, for young children and their families. In the United States, approximately 8% of all licensed centers have the distinction of accreditation by NAEYC. In addition, twenty-one (21) Hildebrandt centers have been designated as Keystone Four Star centers by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, their highest distinction. In March 2007, HLC was listed as the 4th largest employer child care management organization in the United States by Exchange magazine.
